My visit to San Diego included a trip to sea, capturing the dramatic coastline where the Pacific meets California’s golden shores in perfect light. Exploring the world-renowned San Diego Zoo proved to be an unforgettable experience at this institution established in 1916 and home to over 12,000 animals representing more than 680 species across its 100-acre site in Balboa Park.
I also explored La Jolla, known as “the jewel” of San Diego, where I walked the stunning coastline featuring dramatic sandstone cliffs and pristine coves. La Jolla Cove offered excellent snorkeling opportunities. I explored to the University of California San Diego campus, renowned for its cutting-edge research and stunning oceanfront location. Standing on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, I understood why San Diego continues to attract visitors seeking the perfect blend of urban sophistication, world-class attractions, and breathtaking coastal landscapes.
